...for the time being! I'll enjoy the cooler weather while it lasts. This week in language arts we have been working on rhyming, counting syllables, and the setting, In math we are learning about the 2-D shapes triangle, square, rectangle, hexagon, circle, and oval. We discussed how many sides and corners each shape has and sorted shapes with curves and without curves. For social studies we are talking about what makes us super and what super powers we have to help others. The kids even created their own super heroes out of wooden beads, pipe cleaners, popsicle sticks, and construction paper.
INDEPENDENT STUDY: Please turn in all paper work on Wednesday.

I'm thrilled to be teaching my sixth year at HRCCS! I went to Chico State where I received a BA in Liberal Studies, a Minor in Latin American Studies and my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. I taught 3rd/4th for eight years at a multi-age, project-based, performing and visual arts school in my hometown of Stockton. My husband and I moved to Auburn in 2007 to be close to the trails and raise our children, Robby (9) and Amaya (4). I enjoy painting, cooking, working in the yard, and eating my way through San Francisco.
