We had a great day today! The kids were artists and created circle paintings with their 5/6 buddies. Their art is hung throughout the playground. It was very sweet to see them all working together. Sara Mattia, our awesome garden coordinator, planted tulip bulbs, winter vegetables, and California natives with the class. She taught them about the apex and base of the bulb, roots and intersecting facts about the California natives. Ask your child what they learned and what their job is in regards to the tulip bulb they took home. INDEPENDENT STUDY: Please turn in all homework on Wednesday.

Mrs. SilskiI'm thrilled to be teaching my sixth year at HRCCS! I went to Chico State where I received a BA in Liberal Studies, a Minor in Latin American Studies and my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. I taught 3rd/4th for eight years at a multi-age, project-based, performing and visual arts school in my hometown of Stockton. My husband and I moved to Auburn in 2007 to be close to the trails and raise our children, Robby (9) and Amaya (4). I enjoy painting, cooking, working in the yard, and eating my way through San Francisco. Archives
